Memory for D600?

Hi
I have an older Dell D600 PC with 256Mb of memory and Windows XP pro.

I have read that it may have 2Gb of memory type: DDR SO-DIMM PC2700 200p
I guess that means 2 x 1Gb.

Can I use 2 x 1Gb of:
Kingston ValueR DDR2 SO-DIMM PC5300 1GB - CL5, Non-ECC, 1.8V, 128Mx64, 200pin
or will this cause problems?

look up your computer by service tag on Dell's site.  then look into the manuals to find (I think on specifications pages) the max amount of memory your computer will support, and what memory speed (the pc5300 part) is supported.  that should help you in the right direction.  good luck.

If you're going to buy ValueRAM, make sure you can return it if it does not work - it's not a consistent product and some samples will work while others won't.
